But here I am, with all my cPTSD anxiety, having listened (because reading with my eyeballs is an impossibility) to a book that made me exceptionally envious of people who could do things.

One of the biggest shifts over the last three years has been seeking and receiving an ADHD diagnosis as a 45 year old. That diagnosis put so much of my life into a whole new context.

The Uncharted Territory

about us

Valerie

I am in my mid-to-late-forties with a husband and a preschooler. I grew up an active and devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I’m wrapping up an incredibly painful and disorienting faith/trust crisis. I’m fairly confident that I’ll share more about that in future posts. But for now, I’m trying to reconstruct a world view that fits well with my soul.

I’m not here to tear anyone down, disprove any faith tradition, or cause anyone trouble. I will share some things that may be challenging for a believing Mormon, but I only share them to convey how it has impacted me and my personal life. You are welcome to investigate and come to your own conclusions.

I am currently reinventing myself as I enter this third act of my life.

I am a perpetual student currently working on degrees in Psychology and Theology.  I love learning and love changing my mind.

My goals are to share what I am learning and write the things I can’t write in my research papers.

Either/or' is a big fat wall, it blocks your way and keeps you small.
But 'both/and' is an open door, It lets you explore so much more.
So think ‘both/and' not ‘either/or,’ and your life will become so much more.
