Built 
Is showing 
Weakness  

The weight of the house 
Too much 
For the 
Uncertainty  

The weight of 

A child 
An illness  
A mother 
A question  
Presses down 

                      Down 

                             Down 

Forcing the once  
Sturdy Rock  
To split again and again 
Not visibly 

                                Not yet 

But hairline and  
imperceptible  

Only revealing frailty  
In the drop of a tear 
A quaking muscle 
A tight jaw 

And a short temper.
