Day 25 – What about Breakfast at Tiffany’s?

Being back in Carmel is like having a little touch of home. We have spent a lot of time in this area, and our love for it is one of the main reasons we chose to get married here.

Our day started with a lovely brunch in the Carmel Valley. It was outdoors with lots of space and the delicious food.

From there we went to downtown Carmel to find me a replacement wedding ring. We think mine was lost at the beginning of this trip. We visited our friend at Tiffany’s and had a great time there, as usual. It was here in Monterey that Olivia dressed up like Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany’s for Halloween.

This time, Toby was able to come in and hang out with us. We love how dog friendly this entire area is!

Luckily, I found the perfect ring. After a few years of dating, John gave me a little ring with Roman numerals on it along with a list of the reasons he loved me (one for each number on the ring). I still have that list. And, Tiffany’s has a collection of Roman numeral rings.

We continued our walk around Carmel and visited a few of our other favorites places.

That night we went to our favorite little place on Fishermans Wharf in Monterrey. It is a little Italian restaurant were many parts of Big Little Lies is filmed. It is also were we had our rehearsal dinner when we got married. We reserved a great little private table on the wharf. The owners have become friends of ours and their putenesca is the best we have had (and we have looked around the world).
