It was a cold, rainy, busy day in a beautiful location.

Today’s main objectives were to do laundry, fix a headlight on the Jeep, and I had to teach two live Zoom classes.

We made quite a mess of our little hotel room as we reset ourselves.

Luckily, we had time to get out and see a bit of the city, even if we did get wet.

Olivia saw one of her new obsessions while in town, an escape room. Dads are not near as much of fan of them as she is. Usually she convinces us, and the owners, to do one of the harder rooms meant for 6-10 people. And, after 10 minutes of her looking around she spends the rest of the time singing and dancing while dads are in a panic trying to figure out the clues. This time we played “The wrath of the gods!” which involved finding Zeus’ lightning bolt and opening Pandora’s box. We each screamed a few times as trap doors would open, lightning would crash, or the temple would shake. This is why dads hate the escape rooms and Olivia loves them. But, we won… without clues and with time to spare. Take that Hera!

Afterwards, we celebrated with a trip to Gooeys deserts on the lake, and ate the Cookie Monster.

We had to go back to the hotel for more laundry and so I could teach another class. Regardless, we still had time to get out and see more of the beautiful city and lake.
