Day 7 – A little dose of reality

Today we had to spend the morning catching up on real world things.

I had a few hours of work and John had some homework. Then I had an online meeting that lasted a few hours. The meeting was difficult because there were many who have been quarantined for months and needed some human interaction. It was difficult not to say anything whenever they got off topic. I kept thinking, I could be wasting time in the beautiful outdoors instead of on a computer!

Finally, I finished and we decided to head into town. The spirit of Coddiwomple led us through all kinds of little stores in Darby and then we continued our adventure on to Hamilton, MT.

They had many fun and ironic signs:

We winded down with another hike around the property, and Olivia hunting for things to fish with.

Eventually, Olivia crashed out on Toby’s bunk. Normally he sleeps on the bottom and she on the top. Tonight, she laid down to sing him some lullabies and ended up singing herself to sleep.

Let’s check in With Everyone;

  • Daddy Brock check-in:
    • Rose: Hamilton, MT.
    • Thorn: Working while my brain is on vacation
  • Daddy John check-in
    • Rose: Distillery and winery hopping in Hamilton
    • Thorn: Being the DD.
  • Olivia check-in
    • Rose: A town and a dog named Darby.
    • Thorn: Not getting to play at the park.
  • Toby Check-in
    • Rose: I stole a bone from one of the dogs.
    • Thorn: He stole it back.
